Staff Shirts

Merchandise Design

This was the initial T-Shirt concept I was asked to do, a shirt for the staff to wear that featured a quote from Kurt Hahn, a German educator.

Several posters found around the school contain illustrations of the school mascot, Cubby, who had not been featured on any of the school spirit clothing previously.

Cubby Cash Hoodie

Merchandise Design

The principal made a request to create a shirt about the school currency, Cubby Cash. He expressed that he wanted to make a Cubby Cash shirt that is inspired by the anagram C.R.E.A.M, made famous by the hip-hop group, Wu-Tang Clan.

The first image of Cubby on this poster was digitally scanned in and retraced for use on the hoodie.

Cubby Cash

Scrip Design

After seeing how the designs of the cubby cash, I felt it was time to give the currency a proper face-lift, especially since I was also creating a hoodie promoting the currency.

The school previously used two types of Cubby Cash, but their designs lacked excitement and didn’t convey a true sense of accomplishment. In my redesign, I aimed to create something that would make students feel like they had earned something truly special. By putting more care into the design, I believed the currency would better reflect how much the staff values and appreciates students who demonstrate positive behavior and performance.

Teacher Appreciation Shirt

Merchandise

I was tasked with creating concepts for shirts that could be given to the staff to wear during teacher appreciation week.

Out of all the shirts I designed, the one that they wanted to move forward with was the Superman-inspired "T" for teacher. Soon after, it was decided that the "T" for teacher would not work as not everyone who works at the school was a teacher. While I didn't quite agree with the reasoning to change it, I went ahead and attempted to redesign the "T" into an "E" for ELAMS as that would represent everyone who works in the school.
